Cleaning tips

Keep devices working well

A few simple habits can help reduce repairs and keep sound clear. If you’re unsure, bring your devices in and we’ll show you what to do.

Daily wipe-down

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the hearing aid and earmold after wear. Avoid water and household cleaners.

Check wax filters

If sound seems weak or intermittent, a clogged wax filter may be the cause. Replace filters as recommended for your device.

Keep microphones clear

Use a small brush to gently clear debris from microphone ports. Don’t use pins or sharp tools.

Dry overnight

Store devices in a dry, cool place. A drying kit can help if you live an active lifestyle or perspire frequently.
